What Is Fat & Weird Cookie?

Fat & Weird Cookie Co. is a stuffed-cookie bakery founded in August 2018 in Panama City, Florida. We bake large, thick cookies with fillings sealed inside and sell them online, for local pickup, and through retail and wholesale partners. Since July 2026, our bite-size Lil Weirdos Mini Cookies have also been on Target shelves nationwide.

The name is the brand. "Fat" is a badge of honor: these are not thin, crispy cookies. They are tall, heavy, and built to hold a center. "Weird" is the promise of what is inside: fillings and flavor pairings you will not find in a supermarket cookie aisle.

Fat & Weird Cookie was started by husband-and-wife team Brad and Aubrie Bromlow. Back then, Brad was an engineer at a chemical company and Aubrie was a speech-language pathologist in the public schools. For Brad's birthday in April 2018, Aubrie quietly asked her Instagram followers to mail him cookies. More than 1,000 arrived from all over the world. The two tasted every one, kept what they loved, fixed what they did not, and launched Fat & Weird that August. You can read the longer version in our founding story or on our brand page. Fat & Weird is also veteran-owned.

What Does Fat & Weird Cookie Make?

We make stuffed cookies. A stuffed cookie is a single cookie in which a portion of filling is wrapped completely in dough before baking. When you break one open, the filling is a soft or molten center rather than a visible stripe, which is what separates it from a sandwich cookie.

The current menu has 13 flavors, and we release limited seasonal packs throughout the year. A few that show the range:

  • Chip N Drip: a brown sugar chocolate chip cookie with caramel bites and sea salt, stuffed with salted caramel. It is our original flavor and has been on the menu since 2018 (here is how it got its name).

  • Cookies Anonymous: our best seller. A blue cookie loaded with chocolate chip cookies, cookie butter cookies, chocolate sandwich cookies, and cookie dough bites, stuffed with cookie butter frosting.

  • Black Beauty: a black cocoa cookie with white chocolate chips and chocolate sandwich cookie chunks, stuffed with cookies and cream frosting.

  • Caked Up: a funfetti cake batter cookie with white chocolate chips, cupcake bites, and rainbow sprinkles, built around a cake pop core.

  • Aubrie Doughkie™: a sugar doughnut cookie with white chocolate chips and purple and blue sprinkles, stuffed with a pink sprinkle doughnut.

  • Massive Eruption: a dark chocolate cookie with mini chips and milk chocolate chunks around a gooey fudge center, finished with powdered sugar.

Each flavor page lists the dough, mix-ins, core, full ingredients, and allergens. You can see every one in our flavor lineup. This fall, the limited drops are The Autumn Edit and Freaky Season; seasonal flavors leave once they sell out.

How Big Is a Fat & Weird Cookie?

Every MEGA Fat & Weird cookie weighs over 5.5 oz, or roughly 156 g, including its stuffed center. For comparison, a standard homemade drop cookie usually starts with about 30 to 35 g of dough, so one MEGA cookie is about four to five of those. Most people cut one into four pieces and share it (or say they will).

If that is more cookie than you need, the Lil Weirdo is the same stuffed cookie at about half the size, over 2.5 oz. The Lil' Weirdo Pack is the easiest way to try that size.

Size matters for more than bragging rights. A thick cookie can hold a substantial filling without the dough stretching thin and leaking. It also creates the texture contrast that defines the format: a set edge, a thick soft middle, and a gooey center.

How Does Fat & Weird Cookie Fill Its Cookies?

Every Fat & Weird cookie has its core sealed inside the dough before it goes into the oven. Nothing is injected or piped in afterward. The method follows the same basic steps any true stuffed cookie needs:

  1. The core is prepared so it holds its shape: salted caramel, fudge, frosting, cookie butter, or something more solid, like a cake pop or a doughnut.

  2. A thick portion of dough is wrapped around the core and sealed so the filling cannot escape.

  3. Mix-ins and toppings go on the outside: cereal, sprinkles, candy, cookie chunks, or powdered sugar after baking.

  4. The cookie bakes tall, so the center stays soft while the outside sets.

  5. Right after baking, each cookie is individually wrapped and heat-sealed to keep it soft until you open it.

What Ingredients Does Fat & Weird Cookie Use?

Our cookies are made with real butter. Beyond the dough, each flavor brings its own mix-ins and core, from caramel and fudge to sandwich cookies, cereal, cupcake bites, and sprinkles, so the full ingredient list changes from cookie to cookie.

Ingredient and allergen information for every flavor is on its product page, and nutrition panels for core flavors are on our ingredients and nutrition page. All of our cookies contain wheat, milk, eggs, and soy. Some flavors also contain peanuts or tree nuts, and because our kitchen handles nuts, cross-contact is possible with any cookie. We do not make cookies for special diets at this time. If you have a food allergy, check each flavor and contact us at help@fatandweirdcookie.com before ordering.

How Fresh Are Fat & Weird Cookies?

We make cookies fresh daily in our Panama City kitchen. Each one is wrapped and sealed right after it comes out of the oven, which is how a soft, stuffed cookie survives a trip across the country.

Once delivered, cookies are best within 2 weeks, kept in their wrapper at room temperature. If you want to stretch a box out, freeze the cookies in the same wrapper, then thaw one and warm it whenever the craving hits.

Where Does Fat & Weird Cookie Ship?

How Is Fat & Weird Cookie Different From Other Cookie Bakeries?

Plenty of bakeries make large cookies. The difference at Fat & Weird Cookie comes down to three things, each of which you can check for yourself:

  • Size: Every MEGA cookie weighs over 5.5 oz, so size is consistent from order to order.

  • Fillings: The filling is sealed inside before baking, not added afterward. Every flavor has a core, and every core is listed on the flavor page.

  • Freshness: Cookies are made fresh daily with real butter and individually wrapped and heat-sealed right after baking.

We would rather show you than tell you. The details above are on every flavor page so you can decide for yourself.

Baker's Note: The question we hear most from first-time customers is "Will it be gooey when it arrives?" A stuffed cookie's center firms up as it sits at room temperature, and that is normal. Take the cookie out of its wrapper and warm it: 10 to 20 seconds in the microwave, 4 to 6 minutes in a 375°F oven, or 3 to 6 minutes in a 350°F air fryer. If it was frozen, thaw it first. Warm one before you judge it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Fat & Weird Cookie?

Fat & Weird Cookie is a stuffed-cookie bakery in Panama City, Florida, founded in August 2018 by Brad and Aubrie Bromlow. It makes thick, oversized cookies with a filling sealed inside the dough before baking. "Fat" describes the size; "weird" describes the fillings and flavor combinations. Cookies are sold online and shipped anywhere in the United States.

How big are Fat & Weird cookies?

Every MEGA cookie weighs over 5.5 oz (about 156 g) and has a stuffed center. A Lil Weirdo is the same cookie at about half the size, over 2.5 oz (about 71 g). For comparison, a typical homemade drop cookie starts with roughly 30 to 35 g of dough, so a MEGA cookie is several times larger and is easy to cut into four pieces.

What is a stuffed cookie?

A stuffed cookie is a single cookie with a filling wrapped completely inside the dough before baking. The filling stays hidden until you bite or break the cookie open. That is different from a sandwich cookie, where filling is spread between two baked cookies, and from a thumbprint cookie, where the filling sits on top.

Does Fat & Weird Cookie ship nationwide?

Yes. Fat & Weird Cookie ships anywhere in the United States, including APO/FPO military addresses. Orders ship Monday to Friday within 2 business days, most ship the same or next business day, and most arrive within about a week. Faster 2-day shipping is available at checkout. Each cookie is individually wrapped and packed in a sturdy box.

Are Fat & Weird cookies made fresh?

Yes. Cookies are made fresh daily with real butter and individually wrapped right after baking, so they stay soft until opened. They are best within 2 weeks of delivery, kept in their wrapper at room temperature. For longer storage, freeze them in the same wrapper, then thaw and warm one whenever you want it.

How should I warm a Fat & Weird cookie?

Remove the wrapper first. Microwave one cookie for 10 to 20 seconds, warm it in a 375°F oven for 4 to 6 minutes, or use an air fryer at 350°F for 3 to 6 minutes. Warming softens the center back to a gooey state. If the cookie was frozen, let it thaw before warming.

Can I pick up my order in person?

Yes. Local customers can choose pickup at checkout and collect their order at 2540 Jenks Ave., Panama City, FL 32405, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, after receiving the ready-for-pickup email. Pickup is order-ahead only; there are no walk-in sales.
