Fat and Weird Turns 7: Highlights, Milestones & Big Moves Ahead

Happy birthday to us! Fat and Weird Cookie just turned 7 years old, and while our last update covered the tough stuff, this one’s all about the wins. From nationwide partnerships and major retailer meetings to viral videos and a full brand refresh, it’s been a wild, sugar-fueled ride.

Here’s a look at everything we’re celebrating — in no particular order — from year seven. Let’s dig into the highlights.

National Distribution & Expansion

We locked in nationwide distribution through UNFI, a major milestone for us (even if they’ve been a tough partner behind the scenes). The big win is that you can now find Fat and Weird Cookies nationwide via DoorDash and GoPuff!

Even better? We’re expanding even more. We’re working with a third-party provider (similar to a ghost kitchen model) to reach smaller cities and suburbs outside major metros. Our goal: open 5 new locations per month through the rest of the year, which means 30–40 new virtual storefronts by the end of 2025.

Collabs with DoorDash & GoPuff

This year, we rolled out our first cheese cookie collab with DoorDash (yes, cheese in a cookie — and it slapped). We also dropped a limited-time-only Dubai Chocolate Cookie with GoPuff. It launched on 4/20, and the response was insane.

These LTOs (limited-time offers) help us reach new customers and grow our brand with killer co-branded packaging.

2024: Our Best Year Ever

Let’s take a second to celebrate this: 2024 was our biggest year yet. The most sales, the most partnerships, the most growth. Even though 2025 has felt slower in comparison, we’re still on track to meet — or beat — those numbers. The momentum’s still here, even if the wave is smaller.

New Look, Who Dis? (Full Rebrand)

After seven years, it was time to glow up. We spent the last year completely rebranding:

  • New logo

  • Updated packaging

  • Fresh look for a fresh era

This wasn’t easy — change never is — but it’s the refresh we needed to grow into the next phase of Fat and Weird.

Our First White Label Project

We created our first-ever white label cookie product — baking for another brand using their packaging. This mini manufacturing pivot opened the door for even more B2B and co-packing opportunities. It’s fun stepping into the role of producer and creator behind the scenes.

Closing Our Storefront (and Why That’s Okay)

We closed our storefront in September — bittersweet, we know. But we needed the space to grow production and storage. The upside? You can still find our cookies at:

  • Slice House

  • El Weirdo

  • Several local shops through Gambra Vending

…and hopefully more spots soon (maybe one with cookies and ice cream? 👀)

Trade Shows & New Connections

Our team attended the Sweets & Snacks Expo this year and made invaluable connections. We’re already in meetings with brands we met there, which proves showing up does matter. It was one of our most impactful networking events yet.

Social Media Wins (10M+ Views!)

We’ve been focusing hard on growing our social presence, and it’s working:

  • 10M+ views on a Facebook video

  • 300K+ views on a TikTok

  • Consistent engagement + growth on all platforms

The team (shoutout to Garrison & everyone pitching in) is crushing content. It’s finally clicking!

New Product Development

We’ve got big things in the works:

  • Protein cookie for another brand

  • Airline snack cookie pitch

  • Partnership talks with a major coffee company (yes, the one you’re thinking)

  • Edible cookie dough bites

  • Mini stuffed shelf-stable cookies for Target’s cracker & cookie aisle

Speaking of Target: We’re flying to Minnesota to pitch these in person. Dreams are happening. It’s surreal.

Scaling Up with Equipment

We’ve invested heavily in new equipment this year to scale our production. The best analogy?

"We bought the race car… now we need to win some races." 🏎️💨

We’re ready — just waiting for the green light from our dream partners. In the CPG space, things move slower than expected. Most of the meetings we’re having now are for launches 12–18 months from today.

Looking Ahead to Year Eight

We’re grateful beyond words to have made it seven years. From side hustle to national brand, we owe it all to YOU — our customers, fans, and cookie weirdos.

Thank you for:

  • Buying cookies

  • Sharing us with friends

  • Tagging us in content

  • Watching, commenting, and supporting

  • Sticking with us through highs and lows

Here’s to the next chapter. Who knows — maybe by year eight, we’ll be in Target, airlines, and beyond.

Let’s get weird. 💛
